UNIVERSITY OF WEST OF LONDON

BRAND ASSETS AND WEB DESIGN

London College of Music Examination is a music department at the University of West of London. It includes graduates such as Freddie Mercury, but their prestige image was dragged down by their outdated online appearance. AimVisia was delighted to help with new 'visual flavours' for their brand to be reborn. The work on this project was done for Ronin Marketing.

BEFORE AND AFTER

The college had to face new challenges during COVID-19. They decided to provide digital exams that could be completed anytime and anywhere so that students wouldn't have to put their education on pause. For this, their website needed redesigning accordingly and AimVisia was delighted to create the new look, carefully considering their website's limitations and usability.

RESPONSIVE WEBSITE RE-DESIGN

When refreshing the website's appearance, there were constraints as to what could be added, redesigned, and what was to stay the same. Taking those limitations on board, the structure of the website was rearranged for an easier user experience. The navigation was changed and a clear layout for new content was designed and incorporated. Their secondary colour, yellow, was brought out and implemented across the website for contrast, adding liveliness to its presentation. This created a more pleasant experience for this online platform, drawing attention to the interactive components.

BANNERS DESIGN

To promote the new university entity, banner graphics were designed to match the new website design theme.

THE SUCCESS

The university chancellor and the directors were so happy with the new look and the success it has brought them, they decided to invest more money into their system update, creating more business for Ronin Marketing.

BRANDING ASSETS

The college already had an assigned colour scheme and style, which was not in any way shown around their branding. AimVisia decided to bring these out and add ‘visual flavours’ by using shapes that were to be associated with this particular part of the university. The shapes were inspired by a music sheet and presented in a flowy style to symbolise the movement of music in a wave form. These were used across the website, social media banners, and other branding assets.
